Interview Magazine -Underated!

Interview Magazine is an online website that is an update on todays fashion, movies, music, art, film, culture and so forth. The magazine itself was created by Andy Warhol in 1969. It became very popular and spread quickly. Afte Warhol died, the magazine was still in effect. It then became geared towards the fashion elite.

I personally have never heard or have seen this magazine. I probably have, but over looked it. The website is very catchy and interesting. The writing on the site was easily readable, and understandable. Although there was alot of information on the site, it was easy to understand and to navigate through. There was a headline of links that lead to different articles about fashion, movie, film, arts, culture and more. Each page had interesting articles that were in good length. Some articles on site are long and not everyone wants to sit and read. I really liked how the articles were well written and enjoyable to read.

I think that the site was very appropiate for an online magazine. Although isnt like a traditional and portable magazine, it still provides just as much information and pictures, if not more. The articles were written to be made understandable. They are not written in a research paper format and keeps you interested, and wanting to read more.

Another pleasant thing about the website is that it is easy to navigate through. I feel as is my 66 year old grandmother was to be on this site, she would be able to handle it with ease. Some websites are just pure nonsense, full of clutter and hard to find the information that you are looking for, and i feel that Interview magazine is a very good example of simplicity and yet full of information that is easy to find. I like the layout of the site. The page is simple, white background, black font. There is a search box right at the top of the page which make it helpful to find exactly what you may be looing for. There are pictures that are very fashionista and i am into all of that! http://interviewmagazine.com/fashion/

There are alot of videos and audios. The thing that i like about how the setup is, is that there are only a few videos on display, and there is the alphabet at the bottom of the page which allows you to search for certain videos or artist, directors, etc. http://interviewmagazine.com/media/

The site is very active. There is a newsletter that you could recieve with updates on the list of topics on the site. Interiew magazine allows you to join and be apart of the website, and this allows people to interract with others worldwide. There is also a calander link, that provides you with specific dates with events that take place and so forth. http://interviewmagazine.com/calendar/

The homepage has a link to their facebook page as well that has almost 40,000 people who like the page, which leads me to surely believe that Interview Magazine is very popular, and more know than i thought it would be. Facebook/Interiew Magazine

Ohhhh Rosie "O"

Im sure everyone has heard about the funny lady Rosie O'Donnell.  Key word "heard" of her, probably dont know much about her, i sure didnt, until i did some research.
SOOOO..

Rosie O'Donnell, is an actress, talk show host, comedian and author. She was born on March 21, 1962 in Commack New, York., and is the middle child of five.  Being one of five children, could be a struggle in many families. However, O'Donnell lived an average life. Although her father was an electrical engineer, there was no way she could of had everything she wanted. Her family had one automoblie that everyone drove, and instead of shopping at Macy's, the O'Donnell's were shopping at the local flea markets. At the age of 10, her mother lost her life to cancer and it really effected her family, especially Rosie. Her mother was buried on her 11th birthday.

In high school, Rosie was quite the popular one. She was elected for homecoming queen, prom queen, senior president, and class clown.  Her funny personality led her to do stand up comedy after finishing high school and some of college. Rosie was doing stand up comedy in Long Island NY were she was approached by a lady who was talking about how funny she is. This friendly conversation led to great things for Rosie. She flew out to LA and made five winning appearances on the TV show Star Search, which led her to relocating to LA in1984. She landed a part on the last season of NBCs popular sitcom Gimme a break before VH1 discovered her and she then became a VJ. After VH1, she became the host of a stand up comedy show Stand-Up Spotlight , which was very popular.

Rosie starred in her first movie A League of Their Own,  a movie about a 1940s all-women baseball league, starring Tom Hanks, Geena Davis and Madonna. The role that Rosie played was intended to be for a very attractive and sexy woman, but the film director liked Rosie so much that the story and character was made to suit her. The movie gave Rosie and Madonna a strong bond, and the two became very close. Both of them lost their mothers at young ages. Rosie loosing her mother not only brought her close to Madonna, but it also gave her a deep passion for mothering a child. Rosie adopted her first child in 1995, Parker Jaren.

Rosie is known for her hit TV show The Rosie O'Donnell Show , and with now being a mother, the show worked out perfect for her and she was able to be a mother and work. The syndicated talk show provides her with regular hours, a home base in New York and a reported $4.5 million salary.

Over the years, Rosie made many contributions to various charities and such. She was crowned "Queen of Nice" by Newsweek. Her personal life includes her coming out about her sexuality. She is married to marketing executive Kelli Carpenter and the couple share 4 adopted children, and 1conceived through artificial insemination.
